The World’s Safest Bike Has a Roll Cage and Seatbelts
Technology has always played a major role when it comes to automotive. From your car’s AC system to the cameras which allow you too easily and effectively park your cars, technology has changed the way cars as well as motorcycles interact with us when we are behind the wheels. In addition to that, technology can also help us make our cars and bikes safer and that’s what we will be covering in this article as we look at a bike that has been dubbed the safest bike in the entire world.
Dubbed the Babel, this safest bicycle in the world has designed so as to ensure that the person who is behind the wheel has maximum safety especially in areas which are known to have heavy traffic. Babel features leg-guards, seatbelts, an actual roll cage and a full seat which also comes with backrest.
For those who are planning on buying the Babel, you will have to wait for sometime as the bike is not yet available for purchase. However, you can be able to show your support by visiting the web page of Indiegogo. The creators of Babel are currently raising funds so as to complete development of the Babel and bring it to the U.S. market.
Crispin Sinclair is the brains behind Babel and he came up with the idea of developing the Babel after he was involved in car crush which saw him being crushed by a car. “I came up with the idea of a safety cell for a bicycle. It would be similar to the roll cage that racing cars have,” Sinclair said, adding that it’s “designed so you will be pushed away by the turning truck or bus – not crushed by it.”
